We have experiences in studying modern mechanics and published many scientific papers and got important award. The meritorious scientist academician TSIEN Hsue-shen, the father of modern Chinese rocketry, found our department and did the department chair for 21 years. Under his leadership, China sent her first artificial satellite into the space in 1970 and launched her first nuclear bomb missile in 1966. We found the Journal of Experimental Mechanics in 1986, a high level academic magazine of Chinese Mechanical Society. This let us know the technical progress much better than general persons. We also contributed the scientific and technology exchanges between Japan and China.
